Work passes and permits in Singapore (General)


Employment Pass

For PMEs with applicable qualified certificate(s)

EntrePass

For eligible foreigners who wish to start and operate new business(es) in Singapore

S Pass

For mid-level skilled foreign workers and meet the assessment criteria

Work Permit

For semi-skilled foreign workers

Training Employment Pass

For foreign professionals undergoing practical training

Work Holiday Programme

For eligible foreigners aged 18 to 25 who wish to work and have a holiday in Singapore for up to 6 months

Training Work Permit

For eligible unskilled or semi-skilled foreign trainees or students on practical training in Singapore for not more than 6 months

Dependant’s Pass

Eligible for spouse and children of eligible Employment Pass and S Pass holders

Long Term Visit Pass

Eligible for parents, common-law spouses, step-children or handicapped children of eligible Employment Pass or S Pass holders

Miscellaneous Work Pass

Eligible for foreigners who take on short-term work assignment in Singapore for up to 60 days

What is the eligible minimum and maximum age of foreign workers when applying for work permit?


For all non-domestic foreign workers, the minimum age is 18 years old

The maximum age for applying work permit for Malaysians is 58 years old

The maximum age for applying work permit for Non-Malaysians is 50 years old
